In the charming port of Gaios on the beautiful island of Paxos, our family’s culinary journey began in the 1990s. During this time, Italian tourists flocked to our picturesque island, drawn by its stunning scenery and rich culture. Stamatis, our beloved father and husband, was at the heart of it all. A warm and hospitable man, Stamatis had a passion for simple, heartfelt food and cherished the joy of bringing family and friends together.
Our home, with its inviting yard, became a gathering place for Stamatis's Italian friends. He would prepare sumptuous meals, creating unforgettable feasts that showcased the best of Paxos and Corfu cuisine. These gatherings were more than just meals; they were a celebration of flavors, friendship, and the joy of sharing good food.
It was during one of these memorable get-togethers that the idea for our family restaurant was born. Inspired by the enthusiastic praise and encouragement of his friends, Stamatis decided to share his culinary creations with the world. Thus, Mediterraneo Restaurant came to life, embodying the spirit of hospitality and love for authentic, local cuisine.

At the steering wheel of Mediterraneo Paxos Restaurant are Spyros Kavvadas and Meliza Kavvadas, two siblings with years of experience in the field, who driven by the passion for what they do, experimentation and hospitality have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Mediterraneo, where guests can enjoy a delicious seafood dinner while experiencing the genuine hospitality and at the same time gazing at the Ionian Sea and the picturesque landscape of Paxos.

Spyros Kavvadas
He is the man who will tell you the story of our menu, which every day is determined at a certain extent by the fresh fish of the day, with a unique way that only up to close you can experience it. Both the mastery of his speech and the menu options will make it difficult for you to choose your dish, however any choice will offer you a superb dining experience. The main concern of Spyros is the impeccable service of the guest and the creation of a beautiful atmosphere that will accompany your meal. Finally, being an excellent musician Spyros often delights the guests with his excellent music and with his guitar, so that your experience in our restaurant ends in a different way and thus, because he has the ability to seamlessly combine hospitality and entertainment it makes him a favorite presence in the restaurant.

It is the beautiful presence that will welcome you with warmth to the Mediterraneo area and lead you to your table, giving you a first taste of our restaurant's hospitality. The space of our restaurant includes an interior and exterior space that communicate, whenever your reservation can also include the space of your choice, however, both spaces give you the unique sight of our island. Meliza takes care of your smooth hospitality, while also helping to create an unforgettable dining experience for you by also serving you some of your choices. Her attention to the detail and the friendly demeanor make every guest to feel like at home from the moment they arrive
